Chip spent two years at Georgetown College where he played Football and Basketball. Deciding to spend more time focusing on his studies, he transferred to Eastern Kentucky University and obtained a degree in Mathematics and Statistics. Upon graduation he immediately began his career in the industry. Chip holds series 6, 7, 66, 63, and 26 registrations, along with his life insurance license.

While Chip works out of the Lexington office, he resides in Richmond, KY with his wife, Stephanie, and two children, Lyla, and Tanner. Chip states that his greatest achievement in life is being a dad and spends as much time as possible with his children, whether it's playing golf, swimming, going to the park, cheering on UK sports, or simply playing around the house.
